Instead it was deer. A lot of whitetails. Most of them young ones by the look of it. Running around the woods as if they were out of some classic Disney flick. They did circles, figure-8s, alerting every dang thing in the woods; including, no doubt, wild turkeys.
It was not the luck I needed."
